Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information LuceVPN (“LuceVPN”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the LuceVPN apps for iPhone and Android, the website lucevpn.com and its account center (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Our no-logs commitment
We do not log your browsing activity. While you are connected to LuceVPN, we do not record the websites or apps you visit, the DNS queries you make, or the content of your traffic.
The connection details we do keep are listed below. They are limited to what we need to run the Service, apply plan limits and keep accounts secure.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your account ID, and the username and password you set. A guest account is created when you first open the app, without asking for your name or email.
- Email address: only if you link one. We use it for sign-in, verification codes and password recovery.
- Device and app information: a random device identifier created by the app, your platform (iOS, Android or web) and the app version.
- Sign-in history: the time, method, device identifier, platform, app version and IP address of each sign-in attempt, and whether it succeeded.
- Connection records: for each VPN session, the server location, protocol, start and end time, status and the amount of data transferred.
- Purchases and balance: your orders (plan, amount, currency, payment method and status), the gift cards and coupons you redeem, and your account balance. Payments are handled by Apple, Google or payment providers; we do not receive your full card number.
- Invites and rewards: your invite code, who invited you and whom you invited, commissions, and withdrawal requests, including the payout account you provide (such as a wallet address or PayPal email).
- Support requests: the messages and details you send in support tickets.
3. How we use information
- Provide the Service: create your account, sign you in, connect you to servers and keep your account in sync across devices.
- Apply your plan: count data usage and devices, and manage trials, renewals and rewards.
- Process purchases, gift cards, commissions and withdrawals.
- Protect accounts and the network: detect suspicious sign-ins, abuse and fraud.
- Support you and send service messages, such as verification codes and announcements.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Website and local storage
The website keeps your sign-in session and your language and appearance preferences in your browser’s local storage. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and the apps and website contain no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Our hosting and network providers process technical data, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the website and our servers.
5. How we share information
We share information only when needed:
- With service providers that host our infrastructure, send email or process payments. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
- With Apple, Google or a payment provider when you make a purchase.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service. Because we do not log browsing activity, we have none to disclose.
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply to your information.
6. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account exists. Sign-in history and connection records are kept only as long as needed for security, support and billing, and are then deleted or anonymized. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.
7. Your choices and rights
- See your sign-in history and VPN sessions, and disconnect devices, in the account center.
- Change your username, email or password at any time.
- Delete your account on the Security page of the account center.
- Contact us to access, correct, export or delete your information, or to object to how we use it.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may give you further rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
8. Security
Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted. The app keeps sign-in tokens in your device’s secure storage and never stores your password on the device. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password and keep your devices protected.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We protect it as described in this Policy and as required by applicable law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or on the website.
12. Contact us
